About Ruth’s experience

  • She has been with the firm since the beginning.
  • Before concentrating solely on Criminal defence and Regulatory matters in 1999 she was a general practitioner covering Conveyancing, Probate and Wills, Matrimonial Law, Commercial Law, Civil Litigation, Company Law, Personal Injury and many other areas.  Her background gives him a very detailed background knowledge which helps in defending fraud allegations.
  • Ruth is a Solicitor Advocate so she is able personally to represent you in the Magistrates and Crown Courts.
  • Ruth has defended criminal cases in her lengthy career which include a very large number of Homicide cases, Serious Sexual Offences, Death by Dangerous Driving matters, the first-ever prosecution in relation to Crack Cocaine, the first-ever case of Perverting the Course of Justice where the police were allowed to take statements from jury members and many other cases which attracted national, and indeed on occasion, international media attention.
  • Ruth is particularly well known for defending large-scale Fraud cases involving many millions of pounds in prosecutions brought by the Serious Fraud Office, HMRC prosecutions including multimillion-pound cigarette and alcohol cases and is currently involved in a case involving £300 million of Money Laundering.
  • Ruth has lectured on legal issues to Barristers, Solicitors, Accountants, Students, and Prosecution Investigators.

    • BIO

    Ruth is a fully qualified solicitor who graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in her LLB degree. She has recently been shortlisted as Young Lawyer of the Year 2024.  

    Ruth started her career working with well known international law firms prior to completing her training contract at a Manchester city centre firm. As one of the co founders of the firm Ruth & Rogers Solicitors, R&R was created with the intention of helping the victims of investment negligence and investment scams. Ruth and her team have successfully recovered millions of dollars by building relationships with senior members at the banks, National Crime Agency and solicitors abroad.  
    Outside of work Ruth loves watching Liverpool Football Club (especially when they are winning) along with going to the gym and travelling the world.
